Crushed Glass Filter Media CGFM like AFM is manufactured from glass as a raw material but it is like comparing sand with zeolites, or anthracite to activated carbon. CGFM and AFM are two complete different products and should not be confused. A basic crushed glass product such as CGFM should not be used in aquaculture, swimming pools or drinking water treatment. Only certified filtration media or chemicals should be used for water treatment when the water is in contact with animals or used for human consumption.
