AFM packaged Systems for Clean Water and Wastewater treatment up to 6 cubm/hr
The small scale AFM systems can be used to test AFM filtration systems prior to the installation of full scale systems.  However in many cases a water treatment rate up to 6 cubic metres of water per hour is sufficient for many clean water and waste water treatment applications. AFM small scale systems  provides an inexpensive convenient means of mechanically filtering virtually any type of water of any solids loading. Typically AFM will remove around 90% of the solids and 90% of the COD, however when used with APF coagulation an even high performance may be achieved.

System details

The AFM small scale treatment systems are completely self contained pressure filtration units mounted on a stainless steel skid.  The equipment may be used to evaluate the performance of AFM water treatment in a variety of different water types ranging from ultra clean water, to sewage works and industrial effluent.  The system can also be used as the effluent treatment system for a clean water or waste water application.

The system is completely self contained with all connections to your facilities being achieved by means of flexible hose or rigid pipe

Only one size available;

  • max 6 cubm/hr clean water and 3 cubm/hr dirty water treatment
Applications

The small scale systems are being used for the following applications;

  • tertiary treatment of sewage effluent
  • brewery waste water
  • industrial waste water
  • landfill leachate
  • wash water from fruit and vegetables
  • algae removal from ponds
  • Electro plating
  • removal of phosphate

The small scale systems have coped with solids load up to 4000 mg/l/  However at very high loads the flow rate should be reduced, back-flush frequency increased and air scouring included. The maximum recommend solids load is 250mg/l.
